  • Simple and relaxed

The island feels like a slice of the real Maldives and has top dive sites nearby to be explored with the PADI dive school, plus one of the best house reefs in the Maldives. We know our Maldives islands – and this one is highly recommended for snorkelling and diving.

You can unwind in the sunshine with a good book or try badminton, canoeing or windsurfing. We’ll also treat you to a sunset fishing trip during your stay. More Resort Info

The island is a haven for divers, with a wealth of top dive sites nearby. The renowned PADI dive school is particularly popular, with the excellent instructors on-hand to advise which of the varied dive sites are best suited to your ability.

For snorkellers, the fabulous house reef has seven different passages and offers the opportunity to get up-close with reef sharks, rays and turtles. And for relaxation, there’s a main stretch of beach plus several smaller beaches around the island.

Palm is the resort’s air-conditioned restaurant, offering buffets and set menus with international cuisine. In the evening, the al fresco Coconut Bar becomes the island’s hub as the place for drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, often with entertainment.

Rooms are housed in two-storey blocks, just a few steps back from the water’s edge. They are fairly basic but perfectly adequate, as most guests here tend to focus on the outdoors. Each has a balcony or terrace leading to the beach.

In the South Malé Atoll, approx. 45 minutes from Malé airport by speedboat.

Overlooking the waters of the Indian Ocean, the Aavun Spa at Biyadhoo offers the concept of home spa facilities, using natural ingredients such as rice, coffee, orange, honey, coconut and herbs and spices combined with traditional Asian body massages.

The diving at Biyadhoo is a real highlight. The Dive Ocean PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Resort is a focal point of the island, situated next to the main jetty, and its instructors are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable.

Local dive sites include Manta Point (a manta cleaning station between June and November), Hogura Hura (a beautiful calm site, perfect for all abilities) and the thrilling Kandooma Thila (for experienced divers only, due to its strong currents).
