Cheap Holidays to Tenerife

Tenerife contiues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations for British tourists year in, year out. Tenerife is known throughout the island as “The Island of Eternal Spring” as the climate varies very little between summer (24-25C) and winter (17-18C), and there is only very occassional rain. The reliable climate makes Tenerife a popular summer and winter sun holiday destination.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, situated just over 300km from the African Coast and 1300km from Mainland Spain. Tenerife has very few natural beaches due to the volcanic nature of the island. A typical natural beach in Tenerife is characterised by spectacular black sand created from the island's volcanic rock foundations. The demand for tourist sun-bathing space, however, has led to the creation of resorts and man-made beaches, with golden sand having being imported from overseas.
